The Dealership

Brief

To develop a new state-of-the-art multi brand vehicle dealership and service centre to align with the new dealership design guidelines.

Challenges & Solutions

The existing site was an old, tired but functioning Toyota dealership. The program of spaces were out of date with the current style and procedures of dealerships. The decision was to demolish the existing buildings, carparking and service department. With a clear and clean site, a new building form, better connection was developed. The challenge was to work with Ford, Toyota and Volkswagen as they were all wanting to be the alpha. The solution was to develop a single building for efficiency but with specifically designed wings for the individual brands. Carparking became an issue due to planning requirements and the compromise of dealership display space and vehicle access.
